This week we have been celebrating our paraprofessionals in honor of National Paraprofessional Day (which is today)!
We are so thankful for all you do for our faculty and especially our STUDENTS!!

🌟 March Students of the Month 🌟
We are excited to recognize our outstanding students who have exemplified this month's theme of Respect for Community. These students have gone above and beyond in showing kindness, support, and responsibility to those around them—whether it's their peers, teachers, or the greater community. March's Students of the Month are: Natalie, Cora, Harper, Alice, Maya, Samuel, and Mason (not pictured).
Your positive actions inspire all of us to create a more respectful and caring environment. Keep shining, students, and thank you for making a difference! 🌍💙

Our LCWM students recently had an exciting opportunity to visit several local places of employment, gaining valuable insights into various industries. After completing the "Hair Style Curriculum" provided by Educational Associates, Mrs. Theis' class visited Moxie Suites, Indulge, Ulta, Dasch Salon, and the Nova Academy School. These visits allowed students to learn about the history of these businesses, see how they operate, and experience hands-on activities. The students also had the chance to hear inspiring stories from professionals in the field. The curriculum and tours were coordinated by Kelsey Hutchinson at MVED. Additionally, Charlie, from Mr. Ouren's class, is gaining work experience through the Work-Based Learning program at Kevin’s Market, where he works a couple of days a week. A big thank you to all the businesses that supported our students and provided them with these valuable learning experiences!

The third and final student council / school board breakfast was this morning. There was great dialogue between our students and board members!

Yesterday, Mr. Bosma had students become renaissance characters - reformers - leaders - artists - writers - and then they had a speed mixer to meet and greet each other! Some student even dressed up as their character!

If you're needing supper ideas over the next couple of weeks, the Lakes has you covered!! The best part is you'll also be supporting some of the great activities and kids!

Today, the Lake Crystal team competed at the Fairmont Finale and had an awesome day! We had several finalists with two receiving NIETOC (National Individual Events Tournament of Champions) bids for a national tournament in May! We have a break next week and a tournament at Jordan before sections. Congrats everyone!

Mrs. Jones and Mr. Oldenburg's students gave outstanding performances on Tuesday evening at the 9th - 12th grade band and choir concert. Their hard work and dedication were evident as they delivered impressive and memorable pieces.

Shortly after Veteran's Day Mrs. Hockert's class wrote letters and shared artwork and treats with soldiers who are currently stationed in Jordan. Mrs. Hockert, Megan Hutchens, Laurie Nelson, and of course the kiddos in her class worked hard to make this happen.
Earlier this week we got a letter and a package from those soldiers with their unit patches for each kid and a very kind letter to the school.
A special shout-out and thank you to the Krosch family for helping Mrs. Hockert's class make this connection between the soldiers and the students!

The Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors, Chapter One, sponsored the event. In our chapter, over 100 students from five area schools participated.
