
It's finals week at the secondary!










5th graders have been learning about the Renaissance time period during reading in CKLA. Recently we learned how Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel. In order to paint it he had to strain his neck upwards for four and half years. Today 5th graders pretended they were him by drawing under their desks.


Board members are attending the annual Minnesota School Boards Association annual convention today and tomorrow along with our Academic Decathlon team! Board members heard from Hadi Partovi on AI this morning in the opening session and AcaDec team members were able to share about what AcaDec is to board members from across the state during the student showcase this afternoon.

Before Thursday night's Mug Game, LCWM recognized one of our own. For an impressive fifty years, Darrell Hutchens has selflessly volunteered at the score table for football and basketball games first at Lake Crystal High School, and now at LCWM, leaving an indelible mark on the students, athletes, and spectators in attendance.

Today, the high school concert choir went caroling at several area businesses, as well as the elementary school and Crystal Seasons.




Fifth graders in Mrs. Steinberg's class went caroling around the school!


These four students were winning participants in the local Lions International Peace Poster contest. The 2023-2024 theme was Dare to Dream.
1st Place Gretta, tied for 3rd were Livia and Cora, 2nd Place was Jackson.
Presenting their prizes is Lions member Janet Knakmuhs.

LCWM White finished 3rd out of 24 teams at the Elementary Knowledge Bowl meet today. This is the first year of elementary knowledge bowl and LCWM had 20 6th graders participate.

Secondary Student Council is hosting a Toys for Tots toy drive again this year! The kick-off will be THIS THURSDAY at the boy's basketball game! Bring a toy or $3 (the amount of the average toy collected by Toys for Tots) on Thursday to the game and show off your basketball skills with a half-time shot contest!
Student Council will be collecting toys at school from December 1st through the 15th and the goal is to collect 250 toys for the year! Help them exceed their goal!


The LCWM Middle School Student Council collected non-perishable items for the ECHO Food Shelf's Stuff-A-Truck event from Nov. 6 to Nov. 16.
