Jaci was nominated by volleyball coach Alex Keilen and Ryan was nominated by football coach Caleb Fiala. The coordinator of the Postive Athlete Great Lakes Region, Zack Phillips, stated that in his 15 years of working with this program, he had never seen a small school district with two winners in the same year, so kudos to Jaci and Ryan for representing LCWM in such a positive manner!

Secondary students and staff were treated to a Lunch Luau today! Amber and her team did a phenomenal job planning the fun day! Students could choose from Hawaiian Roasted Pork Loin, Huli Huli Chicken Thighs, or a Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Wrap and everyone was able to have some roasted pork from the pig that was slow roasted overnight last night. Sides that were served along with the main protein included island style fried rice, Pog juice (hawaiian fruit juice), macaroni salad, pineapple upside down cake, tropical fruit & veggie bar. Middle school and high school student council members helped serve some of the items and handed out Hawaiian leis to everyone.
Thank you to Lantz Enterprises and Full Scope Contracting for the donation for the hog and processing!
And a huge thank you to Amber for coming up with this awesome idea!

Monday morning during the two hour late start our National Honor Society students cleaned the road ditch on Englewood Rd. It was a beautiful morning for it!

Miss Rogers is helping students develop transferable skills needed to succeed in an evolving future in our PLTW classroom at the elementary!
Congratulations Miss Rogers and thank you for your commitment to providing real-world, project-based learning to our students!

Braxton Dudgeon accomplished a goal at yesterday's home track and field meet breaking the school record in the triple jump. The triple jump is a horizontal jumping event where the running athlete takes off one foot, lands on the same foot(hop), lands on the other foot(step) then lands in the sand pit(jump), usually on both feet. It has been an Olympic track and field event since 1896. Dudgeon leapt 43'4" inches to surpass the previous record of 43'3.5" that was set by Jarret Imlay in 2010.
