Our students had a great time starting the day with morning greetings and breakfast alongside the LCWM High School Football Team! 🏈💙

There were lots of smiles this morning at the elementary as the kids came from the drop off lane, the bus lane, and all corners of our communities! We are thrilled to welcome back our students and are looking forward to a "sweet" year!

The 2024-25 yearbooks are here! Mrs. Jones will have a table set up during open house so make sure to stop by and pick up your order! Open house will be tomorrow from 3:30-5:30! If you didn't order one but wish you did, there are a couple available for purchase also!

We are so grateful for the continued support that helps ensure every student is ready for a successful school year! Secondary Open House, 6th Grade Orientation, and the Kindergarten/Knights Plus Open House are next week! Elementary Conferences are the following week. All the details can be found on our Back-to-School website. If you did not receive the mailer from the elementary, please call the office at 507-726-2320.

We are still looking to fill a couple teaching positions for the elementary beginning this fall! If you know of anyone who is looking for a Blue Ribbon experience, please encourage them to apply!

ONCE AGAIN LCWM fans will be allowed into home, regular season competitions and performances at no cost!

Over the last two days, LCWM staff members attended the "I Love U Guys" safety training with other school districts in Blue Earth and Nicollet counties. It was an excellent two day session where staff gained the knowledge and confidence they need to enhance school safety and preparedness. This immersive training covered the history, concepts and functionality of the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and the Standard Reunification Method. Thank you to Blue Earth County for providing this opportunity to our staff!

We have moved from demolition to full reconstruction on our referendum projects happening this summer! Jackson and Associates continue to put in the work, even on the hottest summer days, on the roof and the panel installation at the elementary; Nielsen Blacktopping has been ready to put the first layer of asphalt down (a couple times now thanks to the rains we've had) with hopes of laying asphalt this week; and the track and football field are getting closer to completion, too!

As we enter this final stretch, we ask everyone to continue avoiding the parking lots and driveways at both buildings. Driving on these surfaces can create extra work for our construction crews. We truly appreciate your ongoing patience and cooperation as we bring these exciting upgrades to the finish line!

The volleyball clothing order is now open until August 18th! Orders will be delivered to the school 2-3 weeks after the store closes.

We are looking to fill these positions as soon as possible. Please share this with anyone you know who may be interested!

We understand it may not be the most convenient to be dropped off and have to walk so far into the building, but please avoid driving on any newly poured concrete or curbs around the campus. These areas are not yet ready for vehicle traffic and could be damaged or broken under pressure. We appreciate your help in protecting these improvements by staying off them until they are fully cured and safe for use. Thank you for your cooperation!

We are making progress on the facility improvements across the district that were all a part of the referendum!

🚧 Parking lot paving is expected within the next week, with a final layer of asphalt to follow after roofing is complete.
🏃‍♂️ Track resurfacing will begin soon.
🏫 At the elementary school, an ice shield is being installed on the 4th and 5th grade wing, and new exterior panels are expected early next week.
🔊 Work continues on upgrading the PA system.
💡 Installation of football field lights is anticipated in August!
✨ LED lighting upgrades in both buildings are also nearing completion.
🪚 Carpet and flooring upgrades are almost finished in both buildings.
🧹 Our custodial crew is also busy working hard to clean the inside of both buildings.
