LCWM Elementary has been recognized as a 2025-26 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School for the second time. We are among a select group of elementary schools across the U.S. to receive this honor for our commitment to increasing student access, engagement, and achievement in career-connected learning through PLTW Launch, an elementary STEM curriculum.

Miss Rogers is helping students develop transferable skills needed to succeed in an evolving future in our PLTW classroom at the elementary!

Congratulations Miss Rogers and thank you for your commitment to providing real-world, project-based learning to our students!

At the beginning of April, the first grade students had a very special visitor! Caitlyn Lorr from KEYC News stopped by to share what she does studying the weather as a Meteorologist and being on television. She also shared that the students can sign up to become a Weather Kid on KEYC to report the weather!

Special guest, Meteorologist Caitlyn Lorr from KEYC News visited the first grade students.
The staff pulled off a fun April Fools' prank on the students - Our custodian, Mr. Ken, made an announcement that there was a water main break and that all students needed to get on their desks and take off their socks and shoes.

About a minute later, Mr. Ken revealed that it was all just a trick! There were lots of laughs and surprised reactions throughout the building.
