PROGRESS
We are making progress on the facility improvements across the district that were all a part of the referendum!
Parking lot paving is expected within the next week, with a final layer of asphalt to follow after roofing is complete.
Track resurfacing will begin soon.
At the elementary school, an ice shield is being installed on the 4th and 5th grade wing, and new exterior panels are expected early next week.
Work continues on upgrading the PA system.
Installation of football field lights is anticipated in August!
LED lighting upgrades in both buildings are also nearing completion.
Carpet and flooring upgrades are almost finished in both buildings.
Our custodial crew is also busy working hard to clean the inside of both buildings.
We’re grateful for your continued support (and patience with the messes) as these projects move forward! #EveryKnightEveryDay

INVESTING in TOMORROW'S WORLD | Referendum 2024
Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial (LCWM) Schools have growing needs in maintenance and upkeep to our facilities and grounds. Long Term Facilities Maintenance (LTFM) funds are not sufficient for the district to keep up with the costly repairs. On November 5, voters will be asked to vote to approve a $6.5 million bond referendum to assist in funding these projects.

Plumbing, heating, and electrical units need to be replaced due to failure and improper functioning.

Parking lots at both buildings need to be replaced due to cracks and low spots causing unsafe conditions.
Tax Impact
Did you know?
The state of Minnesota will pay a significant portion of the total bond project.
The State of Minnesota will pay approximately 35% of the district's bond payments, or approximately $2.3 million of the $6.5 million bond amount through the Ag2School Tax Credit program. This reduces the burden to the Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial taxpayers.
