In 1999, the team won the “Best Use of the Decision Matrix” award at the problem-solving competition in Anaheim, California.

In 2001, Bill Caven won the Scientific American Award, and Marcus Matzke earned a $500 scholarship for being the team’s highest scorer in Anchorage, Alaska.

In 2002, Kiera Fredericksen earned a bronze medal in speech at the national competition in Phoenix, Arizona, giving LCWM its first national medal ever. She also earned a $500 scholarship for being the highest scoring student from Minnesota.

In 2006, Billy James was named “Minnesota Academic Coach of the Year” by the WEM Foundation.

In 2008, Diana Roberts earned a $250 scholarship for being the highest scoring student from Minnesota in the online national competition.

In 2010, Josh Sonnabend earned a $250 scholarship for being the highest scoring student from Minnesota in the online national competition.

In 2011, Ryan Dunker earned a $250 scholarship for being the highest scoring student from Minnesota in the online national competition.

In 2012, Lucas Hesser earned a $500 scholarship for being the highest scoring student from Minnesota at the national competition in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In 2013, Michael Coates earned a bronze medal in interview at the national competition in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ethan Anderson earned a $250 scholarship for being the team's highest scoring student. Lucas Hesser was voted team MVP and earned a $250 scholarship.

In 2014, Michael Coates earned a silver medal in economics, Mason Jones earned a silver medal in interview, and Leah Jones earned a bronze medal in interview at the national competition in Honolulu, Hawaii. Ethan Anderson earned a $250 scholarship for being Minnesota's highest scoring student and also earned a $250 scholarship for being the team's MVP. 

In 2015, Brady Swanson earned a $250 scholarship for being the highest scoring student from Minnesota in the online national competition.

In 2016, Aiden Begnaud earned a $250 scholarship for being the highest scoring student from Minnesota in the online national competition. 

In 2017, Brady Swanson earned silver medals in economics and science. Jake Ebargary earned a silver medal in math. Brady Swanson also earned a $250 scholarship for being the highest scoring student from Minnesota in the online national competition. 

In 2018, Grady Wolters earned a bronze medal in interview, Jake Ebargary earned a gold medal in interview, and Samuel Germscheid earned a gold medal in speech at the national competition in Frisco, Texas. Aiden Begnaud earned a $250 scholarship for being Minnesota's highest scoring student. Cade Maurer earned a $250 scholarship for being the team's MVP. 

In 2019, Samuel Germscheid earned a $250 scholarship for being the highest scoring student from Minnesota, and Gunner McLeod earned a $250 scholarship for being the team's MVP at the national competition in Bloomington, Minnesota.
